Super Easy Stretches for your IT band (iliotibial band)
Today’s question comes to us from Paulette from the membership site and Paulette asks, could you show us some IT band stretches?
First of all your IT band is a thick band of fascia that runs along the outside of your knee all the way from your pelvis, over your hip and knee to just below your knee. Many people injure this fascia when running, cycling, hiking or weight-lifting (especially during squats).
I’m going to show you ways to stretch your IT band today.
1) standing forward fold with leg crossed behind
2) reclined hamstring stretch cross-over
3) rolling your IT band with a foam roller
