Yoga with Bad Knees
Today’s question comes to us from Angela from YouTube:
I love the way you teach, with explanations of what is happening in the body and what to do/not do. Do you have any suggestions for working with “bad” knees? My right knee screams at me during cat pose and the stretch that comes right after it, even with a pillow under my knee. 🙁

Definitely get your knee checked by a medical doctor, remember I am a Ph.D and not a medical doctor and so in the mean time, it would be really helpful for you to work with a medical professional (such as a medical doctor, ayurvedic doctor, or traditional chinese medicine doctor). Here are some important questions to ask:
What exercises will make my condition better?
What exercises will make my condition worse?
Are there more details about my medical condition that are important for me to know if I am going to start exercising?
If cat pose on from a quadruped position on your hands and knees is bothering you, try it from a different position. You can do it sitting cross-legged, kneeling on a block, or sitting in a chair.
