I have a question: I’ve heard that long distance runners shouldn’t do yoga. Have you heard this before? If its true, why? I am a long distance runner but would never want to give up yoga! 🙂 Thanks, xo Christine
Great question Christine, although I have never heard of anything so crazy in my life! Yoga makes great cross-training for runners! Runners get super tight hip flexor and hamstring muscles and yoga is the perfect way to stretch out your hips and hamstrings. There are even stretches named after runners – ever heard of the runners stretch? I have two fantastic videos to recommend to runners “Happy Hips” and “Yoga for Hips and Hamstrings” both are available as DVD or digital download and on the membership site.
