Tuba Christmas
Saturday December 8th we went for our first experience of Tuba Christmas in Market Square downtown Victoria BC.
The tubas were there playing Christmas carols from 1-3 pm. This is actually the 40th year of Tuba Christmas in Victoria BC.
The tradition started in 1978.
The tradition began 45 years ago in New York City in 1974 and now it is held in over 300 cities around the world.
Let me know in the comments if you have a tuba Christmas in your town.
The event is organized by Victoria´s school of music and donations are collected for the Time´s Colonist´s Christmas fund.
The funds assist families in need and also go towards Mustard Seeds annual Christmas dinner which feeds one thousand people.
