Teacup Twirls
In this short video I am going to show you a qigong inspired movement to open up your shoulders and increase their mobility using a yoga block. This movement is part of a longer class for ventral vagus activation that focuses on playful movements like this as an advanced technique for learning.
This fun movement intentionally moves your shoulders through their full range of motion and will help to gently restore their range of motion. It is a fun, but challenging exercise that also works the brain in a playful way. The movement also supports the range of motion in your neck and upper back.
This exercise is particularly helpful if you have painful shoulders, upper back and neck muscles. It is also helpful if you spend a lot of time sitting at a computer or using your cell phone.
