Yoga with Melissa 46 is on the Vata Dosha. This is the second in a series of classes on the Ayurvedic Doshas. The class is calm, slow, steady, grounding and strengthening to help vata imbalances of nervousness as well is digestive disorders. Postures are grounding to balance vatas association with the air element, they encourage elimination by stimulating the large intestine, gentle backbends are used to strengthen the upper back and prevent kyphosis and finally a long savasana is given to calm.
