Healthy-Orange-Julius-RecipeThis morning when I was cleaning out my fridge, I started peeling over a dozen oranges to juice them. We get them delivered here in our Share Organics box. Share Organics is a fun local Victoria company that delivers organic produce to our home once a week on Tuesdays via bicycle! Anyway, nobody has been eating the oranges, so I thought I would juice them up. While I was juicing them, I had the idea to create a healthy, vegan orange julius for Thirsty Thursdays.

This is a super simple and yummy smoothie that your kids will love and will help you cool down on a hot summer’s day.

Healthy Orange Julius Recipe:

  • 1 1/2 cups of non-dairy milk
    (you could use Brazil Nut Milk: , Hazelnut Milk:  or any non-dairy milk that you have on hand)
    1 cup of orange juice (we juiced some naval oranges we had on hand)
    1 tsp. of pure vanilla extract
    sweetener is optional (10 drops of stevia, 1 tsp. honey or 1 tsp. of agave)
    6 ice cubes

Blend all the ingredients in your blender and enjoy. 🙂
