Today I’m going to share with you three ways to increase your motivation to practice yoga daily.
#1 Start small so that you can experience success. Practice every day for just 10 or 20 minutes. Instead of setting yourself up for failure with expectations of a 60 minute practice, keep yourself on track with attainable practice sessions. We have lots of short 5, 10, 15 and 20 minute sessions on our membership site.
Write down one positive thing in your journal about your practice at the end of your practice that you are taking away from your yoga mat. Having a positive record of the fruits of your practice will keep you wanting to come back to your mat every day.
Track your practice. Set a goal of doing 30, 40, 50 or 100 days of yoga and track your practice either in your journal or online to keep yourself accountable. If you track yourself online use the hashtag #30daysofyoga or #100daysofyoga and tag me @drmelissawest so that I can cheer you on.
