Yoga Question for Melissa:

Nerves-and-Public-SpeakingNamaste Melissa,
I would love to hear some tips for public speaking. I’m so nervous!
So much love and light,

Dear Annie,
This is such a great question.

My biggest tip for you would be to stay connected to your breathing and your body.

Probably two of the best Namaste Yoga episodes to help you prepare for public speaking are Breathe Love, and Let Go and Get out of Your Head (Namaste Yoga 121 – Yoga for Migraines) which is a really grounding class which brings your energy from your head down into your feet.

When you are speaking you can feel your feet on the ground and focus on your breathing by repeating the mantra, “Breathing in, I know I am breathing in. Breathing out, I know I am breathing out.” (Thich Nhat Hanh).

On our membership site and in our shop we also have two fabulous videos that I would love to recommend that are great for nerves and anxiety.

They are Yoga for Anxiety and Yoga for Grounding.

Both of them allow you to slow down and connect to your body.
