Yoga is defined as union and to practice yoga is to yoke the connection between your mind/body/emotions and spirit. Spirit is not something I can define for you, it is something you have to define for yourself. I can tell you that your spirit is not that part of you that is a human doing, that part of you that defines itself by what you do, rather it is that part of you that is a human being. Your spirit experiences the fullness of each moment and the joy of being alive. It is that part of you that is already whole with nothing lacking, the deepest truth which rests silently in your heart. What inspires you, nourishes you, sustains you? By asking those questions you are tuning into your spirit; listen to what it has to say.
