Hi I’m Melissa from Yoga with Melissa, I teach real yoga for real people. You won’t see any contortionist or acrobatic yoga on my channel. This is yoga that you can do. I teach yin yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra (or sleep yoga) and yin yang yoga which is a combination of yin and hatha yoga. I focus on more than just the physical postures too. The way I teach yoga looks after the whole person: physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual.
This channel was created in response to my main channel, Yoga with Melissa. There I release a one hour yoga video every Friday at 9 am PT. Here I release short yoga videos where I answer your questions about yoga and talk about how we live our yoga in our lives and off our yoga mats.
I release videos here every Monday and Wednesday at 9 am PT.

A review of the Top 10 Yin Yoga Videos on YouTube in May of 2019. I have been practicing every yin yoga class that has been released in english in May of 2019 and I will share with you my favourite Yin Yoga classes from May of 2019 in the Top 10 Yin Yoga Videos on YouTube on June 3rd.
On Wednesday June 5th I will share with you the Best Mudra books and an explanation of the Nirvana Mudra Series that I use to close out every Yoga with Melissa class.
On June 10th I am going to take to task a Pema Chodron quote: “Nothing ever goes away until you learn its lesson” This gets used all the time in yoga classes and on social media and I am going to share my feelings with you on this quote.
On Wednesday June 12th I have a video that might create some controversy on Why I DP NOT practice Daily Affirmations
On June 17th and June 19th I am going to do 2 videos on Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion, one on What is Bhakti Yoga and one on The Five Bhavas.
In our membership community we will be focusing on the Five Bhavas super in depth throughout the month of June with a Five Class series on the Five Bhavas and Daily Support to help you bring the five devotional feelings into your yoga and meditation practices and your life.
On June 24th I am super excited to share with you a 30 Day Challenge I have been working on diligently since May 18th. I have been filming my experience for 30 days – a kind of I have been doing _____ for 30 days and this is what I found. Don’t worry I have not been drinking celery juice or take cold showers for 30 days.
