Yin Yoga for Sleep
Yin Yoga is one of my favorite things to do before bed! In this video, I talk about a few reasons that yin yoga is a great practice for sleep. As a calming practice, yin yoga helps us balance our yin and yang energies to guide us into a more restful state.
By activating our parasympathetic nervous system, yin yoga helps us easily transition our nervous system into our rest and digest stage. With deep breathing and meditation, yin yoga helps us focus our mind and allow thoughts to disappear that may keep us up at night. Lastly, our yin yoga practice helps to release tension from our bodies, allowing us to find more ease in our bodies. There are many more reasons this practice is amazing for sleep, but these are my top three!
